The Pastor's Corner

Because of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, all time is forever changed.  The Church of old worshiped on Saturday.  The Church of the New Covenant (which is the contract God made with us) worships on Sunday in remembrence of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  The old Church lived under the Law.  We live in the age of the Spirit.  The old Church did not have the power to live a different life.  We do.  Our names in baptism have forever been linked to the name of God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We believe in Jesus Christ we are annointed with the Holy Spirit.  Through the Spirit we belong to this new world, with a new King, and a new hope!

We invite you to participate in the life of the church with us, using time differently, in a way which will honor Jesus Christ and help you to grow into a deeper relationship with God.  First - we offer classes for all ages every Sunday at 9:00 a.m.  Second - we worship God every Sunday at 10:30 a.m.  We offer a nursery for young children.

First Presbyterian Church offers opportunities to grow through the week.  We offer a Bible Study on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 through about 7:30 p.m. with a time for snacks and fellowship following.  In April, it is being held at the home of Kevin and Donna Bossman,  2007 Butte View Dr., in Murray Addition.  For directions, please call 720-2812. Everyone is welcome and questions provide us with a time of learning.

We offer great opportunities to serve the Lord in the ministry of music through Bell Choir and the Chancel choir.  Practices for both are held on Wednesday evenings.  Check the bulletin or calendar for times.

In April we plan to be incvolved in the ministry through preparing Rimrock for the camping ministry.  If you wish to swing a hammer, or dust a cabin, let us know so we can contact you!
