| First Presbyterian Church was founded in 1904, by a group of men and women who had recently settled in Sturgis. To satisfy their need for a place of worship, this group, with the assistance of Rev. Williams, built First Presbyterian Church with money from their own pockets. Their selfless actions and hard work is the foundation of our congregation.
As Sturgis grew, so did First Presbyterian Church. Today we have more than 300 members from all walks of life. Throughout our one hundred year history, First Presbyterian Church members have started many ministries and missions in the Sturgis area. We are active in the community, and support those in need through our missionary work and charities.
Our Sunday bible study and worship is the foundation of First Presbyterian Church ministries. Individuals from a variety of backgrounds and walks of life attend our services weekly. First Presbyterian Church’s parishioners range in age from infants to centenarians.
All Sturgis residents who are interested in receiving the Lord into their lives are welcome to join us weekly at First Presbyterian Church.
